Some printscreens from our beautiful scribble session, thanks for a great one guys.
Guys I hope I’m not preaching or insulting anyone when I say this but, apropos there being too much blue sky or chelley or whatever;
If we all spent as much time producing work, recognizing and engaging in things we want to see
instead of complaining about how there isn’t enough work, recognition and activity regarding things we want to see,
we wouldn’t be in this predicament.

Can we talk about these cuties that almost got into Portal 2
(Art by Heather Campbell/Makani [x])
Y’know it’s funny I almost never call Wheatley by his real name anymore
#i get the feeling most of us wheatley fangirls/dudes have slight grudge towards him that we ooze in our fanwork/general attitude towards him
Your tags are a thing of beauty. I feel like Wheatley fans get accused a lot of coddling and handwaving what he’s done, but most of the “fluffy” art is facetious and sort of disconnected from canon. At the end of the day, he’s a selfish, cowardly dick and I want to punch him repeatedly in the eyeball. And I still love him. He’s a fun character because he has depth and a lot of potential, not because he’s an upstanding dude with good intentions. And I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels this way.
Yeah the fact that he’s kinda punchable and obnoxious but also loveable and has potential for good is what makes him amazing, and same with GLaDoS. Because they feel like real people. I mean, real people are not two dimensional like most characters in fiction have a tendency to be. Real people are often confused, volatile creatures who can seem really sweet one moment and the next lose their temper and hate you. That’s part of why I have been deeply fascinated by Portal 2 since I finished it. These two robots feel more like actual people than about 80% of the fiction I’ve experienced in my life.
